Fatal House Blaze in Reno
Per TMFPD:
“Approximately 4:45 this morning, TMFR received reports of a structure fire in the 3900 block of Aspen Hollow, off of Thomas Creek Parkway and Mt. Rose HWY.
The first arriving engine from Reno Fire arrived on the scene of a fully involved single-story house fire. Several Truckee Meadows Fire & Rescue and Reno Fire units arrived shortly thereafter.
Crews made access into the structure but were pulled back due to a roof collapse. Crews continued to make access until they transitioned to defensive firefighting operations, fighting the fire from the structure’s exterior to protect exposures and prevent fire spread. The fire was contained to the structure of origin. No further structures were damaged.
8 Engines, 2 ladder trucks, 3 ambulances responded.
Initial reports included occupants trapped inside the structure. Three occupants resided in the structure; one patient was transported, one remained on scene, and one is unaccounted for at this time.
UPDATE: 4/29/25 1:26 p.m.: One resident is deceased.
The cause is under investigation.
Thank you to Reno Fire for the support and cooperation with automatic aid.” #reno #nevada 📸 @tmfpd
